Making Trifle in Cooking Club
During the afternoon, a group of residents came together to create a delicious Raspberry & Sherry trifle.
It was a collaborative effort with everyone getting involved in the process, as we prepared this tasty dessert for our upcoming ‘Ladies Day’ event.
Bunty took charge of crushing the Amoretti biscuits, while Lily had the task of squashing the raspberries and sprinkling them with a touch of caster sugar. Bunty then layered a generous portion of custard over the raspberries. Val, Joyce, and April joined in, carefully adding layers of whipped cream on top of the custard.
To give the trifle a final touch, we covered it with fresh mint leaves from our herb garden, a few raspberries, and a sprinkle of almond flakes.
We can’t wait for ‘Ladies Day’ when we’ll have the pleasure of tasting our amazing creation!
