Nurses Day

We had a special celebration at Kingfishers to honour National Nurse’s Day.

Our lounge was beautifully decorated with props, and our talented Head Chef created a delicious cake for the occasion. Julieta, our head waitress, prepared thoughtful gift bags for all our nurses as a token of appreciation.

During the event, our caring Home Manager, Zoe Mills, gave a heartfelt speech expressing gratitude to our incredible nurses for their hard work and dedication.

We had the privilege of hearing inspiring stories from two of our residents, Sue McPhee and Wendy Golding, who both worked as nurses throughout their lives.

Sue served as a nurse in London for many years, while Wendy worked in London and later joined the RAF, where she spent four years in Malta. Nurses Jeannette and Monika also shared their experiences, and it was fascinating to learn about their backgrounds.
