Preparing for Burns Night

With blustery weather outside, residents at Kingfishers spent a productive afternoon in the activity room preparing decorations for Burns Night.

Using tin cans upcycled from the kitchen, residents created table decorations that will double as cutlery holders for the weekend’s celebration.

The cans were transformed with Scottish tartan designs and finished with cow-print sporrans, combining creativity with practicality. Residents enjoyed working together and took particular satisfaction in making something useful from recycled materials. Many commented on how pleasing it was to give new purpose to items that would otherwise have been thrown away. The group is now looking forward to seeing their handiwork in use at the Burns Night table.
