Scottish Dancing

26 January 2023

We enjoyed some wonderful Scottish dancing by the New Forest Dance Group.

We got straight into the Scottish mood when we saw the dancers arrive in their kilts and lovely dresses with tartan sashes. Our residents were engaged from the beginning clapping, singing and foot-tapping in their seats. The music took us all along a beautiful journey through Scotland. Companion team leader Rose, companion Christina, Senior nurse Jeanette and residents April & Sue just had to get up and dance. After the show finished, our resident Alan got up and thanked the lovely dance group on behalf of all of us for a fabulous show. We all clapped and asked them to come back next year. Now we all want to go on a Scottish holiday as we were so inspired by this wonderful music and tradition.
