June, Betty, Sue and Val went on a minibus trip to The living room @ spudWORKS in Sway. They have a week of creative taster sessions for older people. This morning the session is all about winter beauty hosted by the artist Stephanie Jalland. She showed us photos of a lovely snow scene on a Hampshire road which illustrates how 48 telephone wires sag and are completely covered with almost 5 tons of snow. The residents also shared their memories of winter. Stephanie demonstrated how to make a white snowflake and a Swan, and everyone had a go. She also read a poem about winter, and we listened to the song called ‘the swan’. Resident Betty thanked Stephanie for a fantastic creative session.
