Titanic Museum
Companions Rose & Christina and bus driver Dave took 6 residents to the Titanic Museum in Southampton.
Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition of this tragic ship’s journey. We all loved how interactive the exhibition was. In one room Val was steering the ship’s wheel which was made out of beautiful, shiny wood. In another room we could see a picture of the old grand staircase and felt we were standing at the bottom of it. The last room was laid out like a court room and was called the enquiry room. We could hear judge’s voices asking survivors of the Titanic what happened at certain times during that tragic night. We all had lunch in the lovely cafe and afterwards saw the exhibition about the life and development of Southampton. Alan and Jack were telling us stories about their travels and some old war tales. It was a real educational day for us all.
