International Dance Day Celebrated at Linden House

Fun-loving residents and team members at Linden House, our dedicated dementia care home in Lymington, came together to celebrate the joy and beauty of dance.

The highlight of the day was a stunning Latin and ballroom performance by visiting professional duo Kamil Kuroczko and Caitlin Heasman. Kamil has featured on Poland’s Dancing with the Stars, the country’s equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, while Caitlin is the granddaughter of our resident Judy Rose, who enjoyed a front-row seat for the half-hour show.

Caitlin said:

“I was thrilled at the idea of being able to dance in front of my grandmother, something I haven’t done for ten years or so.”

Our Linden House community was also joined by fellow residents from Court Lodge, including 102-year-old former dancer Margaret Honeyman, who said:

“It was great to see a live show like this.”

The day was filled with music, movement, and plenty of smiles, as everyone came together to share the joy of dance.
