A Double Celebration

Friends in Beaulieu lounge celebrated their Christmas gala.

On entering the dining room there were gasps of admiration as they took their places at the beautifully set tables of red and gold, adorned with a centrepiece of holly with red and gold balloons. After a delicious three-course lunch with sparkling wine, laughter, jokes, and crackers the festivities continued, with Brian entertaining on the piano playing popular seasonal tunes, and carols that everybody clapped their hands, tapped their feet and sang along to. During a short break, Trish was presented with a bouquet of flowers as she and her husband Malcolm were quietly celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary – What an achievement! Brian followed the presentation by playing The Anniversary Waltz for the happy couple. There was also another celebration today, as pianist Brian let slip that it was his birthday, so everyone sang happy birthday to him.
