A Meaningful Musical Moment for Steven

Resident Steven has a longstanding appreciation for the classical guitar works of Andrés Segovia.

This connection was strengthened by having met the musician during his years as a radiologist at St Mary’s Hospital in London.

Companion Phil recently sourced an original vinyl recording of Segovia performing Bach and set up the record player in the conservatory. As the music played, Steven listened with deep concentration, responding to the phrasing with expressive hand movements and recalling memories from his time in London.

It was a quietly significant moment, showing how familiar music can reawaken personal history and offer genuine connection.
