A Victoria Sponge Fit for The King

Several resident from the home gathered around the table in our homes dining room to prepare a Victoria Sponge for their afternoon tea.

After gathering and measuring the ingredients, they added them to the mixer and beat the mixture to incorporate air, ensuring that the sponge would rise properly. The delightful aroma of sponge cake soon filled the corridor, tempting their taste buds and making our mouths water. After cooling down, they sandwiched the sponge together with jam and cream, ready to serve for their afternoon tea. Not surprisingly, there wasn’t a crumb left.

However, when it came time to wash up the utensils, all of the residents except for Denzi had disappeared as if by magic, possibly because they didn’t want to wash up. Denzi remained behind and happily washed, dried, and put away the used utensils.
