An Unexpected Visitor

On a cold but bright Saturday afternoon a group of friends took their seats for an armchair trip to Lapland.
On arrival, they enjoyed a sleigh ride through the beautiful breathtaking countryside. During this breathtaking drive, they discovered some interesting facts about Lapland. Travelling on to Abisko National Park we witnessed the Aurora Borealis, -beautiful dancing waves of light. This natural light show is due to prevailing winds, which means that cloud rarely forms – and the skies are kept clear.
Whilst enjoying a glass of buck’s fizz and to everyone’s surprise, Santa made an unexpected visit, just to check who was on his nice list. Once Santa left and with everyone in a festive mood, we ended our afternoon singing much loved Christmas songs but all too soon it was time to take our seats for the return journey, home, and supper.
