Anyone For A Game?

The time between Christmas and New Year, often referred to as Twixmas, was a quiet but joyful period on the Beaulieu unit this afternoon.
Residents gathered to watch the classic film “My Fair Lady,” with a bit of friendly jostling for the best seats, creating a cosy atmosphere.
As everyone settled in, refreshments were offered to enhance the movie-watching experience.
One resident, Jeanette, pondered how to spend the afternoon. When the idea of playing a board game was suggested, she chuckled, claiming not to know how to play.
Undeterred, a game of snakes and ladders was set up, and soon laughter filled the room and echoed down the corridor.
The infectious joy even attracted Midge, who joined in the fun.
Six games later, with four victories under her belt, Jeanette was both surprised and delighted. “I don’t know how to play this, but I’m having fun,” she exclaimed.
As the afternoon concluded, Jeanette expressed her newfound enjoyment of board games and looked forward to playing again.
Fun and laughter had indeed made the quiet Twixmas memorable.
