Cheese Straws with a Twist

This morning’s baking session was full of energy and delicious aromas as residents decided to make cheese straws with a little twist.

After agreeing on the recipe together, the group mixed cream cheese and pesto, taking turns to give the bowl a hearty stir. The mixture was then spread over the pastry before another layer was added on top and cut into strips. Each piece was carefully twisted and brushed with egg, ready for baking.

When the cheese straws came out of the oven, residents were delighted with the result — a warm, tasty treat they had created together and enjoyed with real pride.
