Enter the Dancing Dragon

We celebrated Chinese New Year by decorating the lounge with lanterns and bunting, and on entering everybody was given a Chinese hat to wear.

There are 12 signs in the Chinese zodiac all taking the form of an animal, but instead of one for each month, the animal is for the entire year. This year is the Year of the Rabbit. Our celebrations continued with the entrance of our very own dancing dragon. Dancing to traditional Chinese music the dragon danced its way around the room to the delight of the audience who were laughing, cheering, clapping, and tapping their tambourines in time to the music.

Everybody agreed that they had enjoyed the afternoon, great entertainment, delicious food and spending time with family and friends.
