Flower Crafts

We always start our week off with a couple hours in the Creative Café!

We use these Monday mornings in our café to introduce new crafts to our residents. This weeks crafty idea was to make beautiful flowers out of kitchen roll. We did this by cutting circles out of the roll and using felt tips to add specks of bright colour.

Our lovely residents, Liz, Joan, and Jean had so much fun colouring them in. We were also very lucky to be joined by some regular visitors, (also called Joan and Jean) who join us for our creative mornings.

We then sprayed the cut out kitchen roll with water and watched the colour smudge over the petal, creating a beautiful ombre effect. We assembled the petals onto a dowelling rod and even sprayed the flowers with perfume which gave them a realistic smell. We took the flowers around the home, and showed them to the other residents, who all thought they looked and smelt beautiful.
