Hoorah It’s Quiz Night

With all traces of supper cleared away a group of friends entered Bucklers Hall and took their place at one of the tables.

They greeted the other team who were already seated with a smile and a wave. With all seats taken, excitement filling the air and a lot of laughing the battle lines were drawn. Who would win this week? Once everyone was settled with a gin and tonic or scotch and lemonade, the rules and scoring were explained, and team names decided the quiz began. As the evening progressed there was much laughter but also a lot of serious contemplation and conferring over the questions but also a lot of shouting out. At the start of the evening, the scores were close but towards the end, the Londi’s raced home with a massive 35 points with the Shorties scoring a respectable 25 points.
