Nelly Visits

Today we had a visit from Pets as Therapy dog, Nelly. 

Nelly is a 5-year-old red fox Labrador, who originally trained to be a gun dog. When that didn’t work for her, her owner Jackie took her on and has trained her to be a P.A.T. dog and make visits to Care homes, Hospitals, and Children’s Hospices. 

The residents loved watching her do some tricks and had a go at teaching her themselves. With treats in hand, they got Nelly to sit and lay. The residents also had the opportunity to brush and stroke her. We’re excited to welcome her back soon!
