Ten Minutes of Mindfulness

After a busy week what better way to relax and unwind than a gentle yoga session.
A group of friends met in Bucklers Hall encouraging each other, as for some this was a new experience.
Walking along the corridor a wonderful fragrance of lavender and birdsong intermittent with gently flowing water aroused our senses. Once seated we were encouraged to sit up straight and tall, gently inhale and exhale, followed by gentle exercises but only if we felt able to do so. The most enjoyable part of the session was closing our eyes and enjoying the gentle music and imagining we were in our favourite place. All too soon it was time to gently wake up, because yes, we had all drifted off to sleep!
