The Table Tennis whiz kid

On a rather blustery day outside there was some fast-playing Table Tennis going on in the Malt Hall, matching the speed of that wind outside.

Gerry had a wish on his bucket list to play table tennis again and so we invested in a table and the opportunity was given for Gerry to challenge Companion Elizabeth to some games. There were spectators and even another gifted resident playing the piano for us.

Gerry thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to pick up the table tennis bat once more and was serving some amazing spinning shots, some of which Elizabeth was able to return but some just had too much spin on them and so she had to concede the point. The spectators were treated to some first-class table tennis and after an hour of playing, Gerry finally put down the bat until the next time.
