Tuesday Night is Quiz Night

After supper a group of friends met in Bucklers Hall for the Tuesday night’s pub quiz. As seats were filled there was excitement in the air and a lot of chatter.

Who would win this week? Having divided themselves into two teams, deciding on a name and accepting a gin and tonic or a glass of bucks fizz, they were ready to start. As the evening progressed there was much laughter but also a lot of serious contemplation and conferring over the questions. Would you know that the nickname for a giraffe is a stench pig, or that a Harpy Eagle plucks monkeys out of the trees to eat, well Martin did. Throughout the evening the scores remained close, but towards the end, the Londi’s pipped the Nameless by 21 points to 25. Well done to the Londi’s and better luck next time to The Nameless.
