Vintage Fete

On a splendid, sun-drenched day in the garden at Linden House, we hosted our Vintage Fete.

The majority of our residents attended, many with their family members, coming together to revel in the music and dancing led by Retro Rita. Rita’s performance featured a wonderful array of songs from the 1950s and 1960s, setting the perfect nostalgic atmosphere.

To support The Dementia Art Group charity, we offered a selection of cakes and scones served alongside tea and coffee, which were available for purchase. Additionally, we had a fantastic assortment of raffle prizes, generously donated by local businesses, which raised an impressive £450.

The event featured a variety of old-fashioned games, face painting for the children, and delightful treats, including ice cream, cakes, and giant balloons. Parked in front of the venue were three vintage vehicles, allowing residents to sit in them and gain insights from knowledgeable gentlemen representing the car club.

The day was filled with dancing, laughter, and a heart-warming sense of togetherness, providing everyone with an enjoyable and memorable experience.
