Who’s Got Green Fingers?

On a beautiful warm summer afternoon, what better way to spend our time than with a spot of gardening?
So, with sun hats, gloves, and suntan lotion applied, we gathered hanging baskets, compost (which, of course, was peat-free – kinder to the environment), and plants.
After putting on our gloves, we started by filling the hanging baskets with the compost. During afternoon tea, there was much deliberation about where each plant should be positioned; everybody had different ideas. Very soon, Nigel began making the holes under the watchful eyes of the rest of the small gathering, and it was quickly decided unanimously where each plant should go. Eventually, the basket was a blaze of colour, planted with red and white trailing fuchsias, dark pink busy lizzies, red geraniums, and white trailing petunias.
Once filled out, watered, and regularly fed, Linden’s basket will bring joy to all.
