A Rickshaw Ride

The rickshaw bike, which is run by volunteers from the Blackmore Vale Partnership, is a wonderful community initiative.

It aims to help people enjoy the local countryside, improve mental health, and provide support to those who may feel lonely or have limited mobility in their local area.

The bike was brought into the gardens of Newstone House, allowing our residents to have a ‘test run’ before embarking on regular outings along the North Dorset Trailway. It was an hour-long trial that sparked curiosity among our residents, leading to many questions about the bike. Volunteer Mike even gave mini rides, adding to the excitement.
