Guest of Honour

31 May 2025

Jim was invited to share in a very special memorial day on Saturday.

During the Second World War, a Canadian Wellington Bomber crashed near Sturminster Newton. Thanks to research by family members and some local historians, the full story of that fateful occasion was pieced together and Saturday saw the unveiling of a new memorial.

Jim was among the guests of honour who dedicated the memorial and were treated to a fly past of the Red Arrows and some Tiger Moths.

Here Jim is talking to an RAF representative.
