International Beer Day

Residents at Newstone House enjoyed an afternoon of tasting, talking and reminiscing as they celebrated International Beer Day.

Everyone enjoyed a glass of beer, with Wendy and Adrian sharing a can of Carling, while Derek and Alan opted for a Guinness. Alongside the tasting, residents answered some entertaining questions about beer and discovered a few new facts.

The afternoon also brought back plenty of memories. Wendy recalled working behind the bar at her family’s hotel, where she served all kinds of beer to customers. Derek shared a story about once trying to make his own beer, which his father went on to sell in their hairdressing shops!

With plenty of stories, laughter and conversation, it was a relaxed afternoon spent enjoying good company and a familiar favourite.
