The Wellington Wheel

Jamie visited Newstone House with a remarkable piece of history in hand — a Wellington bomber wheel, signed by World War II veterans.

Among those to add their name was our very own Jim Freer, a former RAF pilot, who proudly signed alongside his fellow servicemen.

Jamie shared powerful stories gathered from veterans across the country, sparking a heartfelt and reflective morning. Together, we exchanged memories, honoured the fallen, and celebrated the courage of those still with us. It was a moving tribute to a generation of heroes, past and present.
