A Trip Down Memory Lane

Companion Sue and resident Cynthia were looking at our 1950s scrap book, while Dave puppy was getting cosy on Cynthia’s lap.

Cynthia recognised Ewbanks’ make of hoovers which were very popular hoovers back then. She remembered her mum had one, and a lot of her friends’ parents did too. Cynthia said they used to also have a children’s newspaper which she recognised as we were looking at the comics and magazines of the1950s.  Reminiscing with our residents brings back memories giving residents a sense of competence and confidence through using a skill they still have. Promotes great conversations around the table too!
