A trip down memory lane!

A trip down memory lane was on this morning’s agenda.

Especially reminiscence of comics that residents remember reading in the 1950s. The Beano, The Eagle, Rocket, Bunty, Topper and The Beezer were a few of the ones that residents remembered. Gwen our resident who grew up in Barbados remembered The Beano but also said she read a lot of romance books too. For the girls, Bunty, School Girl and Girl were published. Joyce said she remembered Bunty and Rocket comics. Reminiscing with our residents brings back memories giving residents a sense of competence and confidence through using a skill they still have. Promotes great conversations around the table too!
