Autumn lanterns

We decided to make autumn lanterns now the clocks have gone back.

We thought we could brighten up the lounges by using colour-changing led tealights and placing them into glass jars. There were three designs to choose from: sticking fabric autumn leaves onto the jar; colouring in stripes of masking tape; or creating a tree and leaves out of masking tape onto the jar and then colouring it in autumn colours. “Don’t they look pretty, especially when the light changes colour” said Enid. Pip asked for hers to be put in her room so she could watch the colours change tonight whilst in bed. They look very pretty in all the lounges, radiating lovely autumnal warmth.
