Even Though The Rain ‘Never’ Stayed Away The Aldbury Had Fun Anyway

For ‘International Ice-Cream Day’ we celebrated with lots of seaside fun and frolics.

We reminisced all day with traditional peep boards, where residents and staff had fun getting their photograph taken popping their heads into funny photo props. We also made handkerchief hats, swirled candyfloss onto sticks and chatted about our favourite holiday memories. The day was finished off with the most traditional custom, a visit from the ice cream van. The very British weather did not stop our fun, we donned rain ponchos and queued up for our ice creams. Jean was so happy with her ice cream and flake, “Oh yes, that’s nice, thanks girls, what a treat.” Even though the rain never stayed away The Aldbury had fun anyway.
