Floral Catchers
Our residents were getting creative designing wildflowers with ‘Transparent Inject Film Art’ which has become very popular.
Once a flower design is drawn, we then colour them in with sharpies. Due to the smoothness of the film ‘this is very relaxing,’ exclaimed Joyce. Residents were able to pick their own colours for their flowers. Beryl and Valerie did a fantastic job of cutting round the outlines. A long job, with the help of refreshments and listening to Roy Orbison on Alexa which is Tina’s favourite. We then placed them on floral gardening wire and hey presto a lovely outcome! One of the team members, Pauline, designed a busy bee to accompany our flower designs too. A good hand-eye coordination activity with vibrant colours that residents can enjoy looking at when the light catches the colours during the day. Also, an added touch of solar lights can be placed in the jar to create a lovely ambient night light that can be a lovely sun catcher or a lovely decoration to put around our home and no need for water!
