Flower art

28 June 2023

We recently produced some acrylic flower art, after our Customer Service Adviser asked if our Residents could make some table decorations to be displayed in the Training Room.

People from the community will now be able to see our creations when they visit The Aldbury.

We had previously done this activity last year and were delighted with the effect of the sunlight going through the petals. They are made with inkjet transparency paper, on to which we drew and coloured in pictures of flowers and cut them out and placed a wire metal stem on the back. Placing them in mini glass jars with mini gravel creates a lovely floral centrepiece that will last forever. The paper and acrylic pens are very soft and glide over the paper with ease.

A good and creative mindful activity, Jean was really pleased with her roses and chose her colours which looked very effective and unique. Cynthia said, “I would not mind keeping this myself!” “We will no doubt carry out again”, we said.
