Sunshine and Tomatoes

A garden provides a wonderful environment that positively impacts the well-being of individuals living with dementia.
It provides an opportunity for socialisation, connecting with others, engaging in physical activity, and stimulating the senses and memories.
On a delightful and sunny day, our residents put on their summer hats and enjoyed some quality time in the garden alongside Companion Melissa and Gardener Brett.
During the gathering, Brett brought young tomato plants that needed to be repotted into larger pots. We had two varieties of tomatoes: Tomato Cuore Di Blue and Tomato Tigerella. Curiosity sparked as Chris wondered about the origin of Cuore Di Blue, whether it was Italian or Portuguese. Gwen, on the other hand, playfully speculated if Tomato Tigerella would present tiger stripes.
