Halloween Crafts

Today, some of our residents made ‘spooktacular’ crafts! 

We decided to make bats ahead of our Halloween Party on 31st October; we are especially excited as it will be taking place in our new outdoor space, The Retreat. 

Terry, Bill, and Ron had a great time and also learned about how bats became a symbol of Halloween: there was a Celtic tradition to ward off vengeful spirits where they built huge bonfires. These massive light sources attracted swarms of insects at night, which in turn attracted hunting bats!
