International flower day
International Flower Day celebrates the vivid-coloured blossoming and uplifting fragrance that nature can produce!
Residents started International Flower Day, with a stroll in the garden. Joy was so happy to be outdoors in the fresh air. She kept taking deep breaths and said she thoroughly enjoyed watching the robins, blackbirds and the first snowdrops in our garden.
Companion Melissa brought a bouquet of mixed flowers (roses, carnations, gerberas, tulips, daffodils) for residents to arrange in five different vases, one for each house group and one for the reception. Beryl was very happy arranging all the mixed flowers, she cut most of them and made sure they were the same length in each vase. Beryl said” She loves flowers and she forgot how much pleasure and joy they bring to her life. Frank joined in and picked a bunch of daffodils to give to Cynthia.
