Knit and Knatter Group

8 May 2024

This afternoon, we met up with the Ferndown community Knit and Natter group.

The ladies regularly gather at the Wimborne Day Centre café to knit and have a good old chat! During Christmas, residents were treated to knitted teddy bears, octopuses, blankets, and hand warmers, so this was our chance to say a BIG thank you to them.

“It’s nice to meet the person who knitted the lovely teddy I have on my bed!” exclaimed Pam. Residents enjoyed a delightful cuppa and had the opportunity to chat with the ladies in the group.

We spoke to Tina, who handles the admin for the group, and she shared that they were responsible for the knitted scenes on the post-boxes in Ferndown too! Currently, they are knitting poppies to adorn our front gate, and they’ve been incredibly busy. “You’ve been very busy!” exclaimed Enid.

It was a lovely afternoon spent with lovely ladies, and the sun was shining too. What more can we ask for!
