Oh What A Wonderful World!
Enid, Jean, Tony, Pam, Stella, Valerie, and Jean had a wonderful afternoon out in Sandbanks recently.
Our driver Nick stopped by the Sandbanks Chain Ferry overlooking Poole Harbour, Studland Bay, and Brownsea Island. Residents enjoyed a cuppa with biscuits while chatting and singing summer songs. It was Enid’s birthday yesterday and residents and Companion Melissa sang happy belated birthday and 21 Again!
Valerie said “We couldn’t have chosen a better day to go out to one of the most popular and beautiful places on earth. I have very good memories of this area, walking along the beach, sailing with my husband around Poole Harbour, visiting the local shops and of course going over the chain ferry. It used to be a £1 to go across in the car!”
Jean said “You could not go abroad and find any setting better than this…and I have been to many places over the years. She also added “This is one of the best day’s I’ve ever had” It was filled with heartfelt emotions as she said it.
Driver Nick played good oldies songs, and everyone sang along including “What A Wonderful World.”
Jean said “What a Perfect Song for this setting!”.
