St Nick’s Community Choir

We enjoyed our first visit to St. Nicolas Church in Corfe Mullen today, to join in with a special community choir. 

This event, called “Singing for Fun,” is held on the last Tuesday of each month as a dementia-friendly community gathering. 

The residents really enjoyed themselves, as did Companions David and Melissa. Our driver Karen initially planned to mimic but ended up singing as well! 

Resident, Linda, described the event as wonderful, while Valerie noted it was reminiscent of her youth. Terry enthusiastically suggested, “Let’s do it again!” 

On the way home, the residents found themselves humming “Get Me to the Church on Time.”
