Tape, Shape and Paint
Using masking tape, we placed it on canvas tiles in various patterns and then painted the spaces in between.
Val remarked, “It looks easy, but it requires concentration!” After allowing the paint to dry, we carefully peeled off the tape, revealing beautiful shapes and designs. Jeanette took her time with a single color, marine blue, while Frank experimented with mixing different colors. “Aren’t we clever!” Valerie exclaimed as she uncovered her design by removing the tape.
This activity is not only enjoyable but also helps with sensory perception and hand-eye coordination for our residents.
We had a delightful morning, accompanied by the radio station of choice, ‘Gold,’ and once we finished our paintings, we relaxed and enjoyed a refreshing cup of tea.
