The Reminiscence Restaurant

During our recent monthly activity planning meeting, Jeanette expressed how she would like to go to breakfast at The Clipper Restaurant in Poole.

“I would love to see the staff, I know them, and it’s my favourite restaurant.” The companionship team, along with Nick our minibus driver, and Joyce, Pam, and Tony, joined Jeanette for a traditional English breakfast at The Clipper.

Pauline shared her story about her husband proposing to her in the same restaurant 40 years ago. “It’s a special place for many of us!” Jeanette exclaimed.

Joyce also remembered going there for brunch on a Sunday morning before window shopping around the Dolphin Shopping Centre. She then said, “The Clipper used to be famous for making the best full English breakfast in Poole!”

Tony suggested they could make a great advert to promote The Clipper. “The best full English breakfast in town!” he exclaimed. “We can call it the ‘Reminiscence Restaurant’ as we all seem to have very fond memories of days gone by in this special little place.
