Valentines Day
In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, the residents created a beautiful heart collage that resembled a cake and was even described as “good enough to eat!” by Elizabeth.
The main ingredients used were cardboard hearts, which the residents had painted the previous week with their companion, Mel. Elizabeth and Valerie then had some fun sticking these hearts to a cardboard template with their companion team leader, Sue. To give it a finishing touch, they added a drizzle of glitter. Valerie exclaimed, “This looks absolutely lovely!”
On the 14th, the residents and staff enjoyed heart-shaped caramel chocolates and table decorations in celebration of St. Valentine’s Day. “The home looked very cosy in red,” commented Jean.
