What Did We Do In January?
In this morning’s activity we reflected on what we carried out in January.
We love to share with everyone, keeping everyone up to date with what we have been getting up to. We celebrated Chinese new year by making our very own Chinese lanterns and all opened a fortune cookie to see what our fortunes were. We celebrated Burns night with a taste of Haggis, a wee dram of whiskey or Iron-Bru to wash it down! We reminisced about the 1940s through to 1960s fashions which brought a giggle to all as we laughed at our dress-up gear. Joan pointed to a picture and said, ‘look at me!’ in her 40’s scarf and fascinator! There have been lots of canine therapy cuddles with our companion puppy Dave who visits daily and Roxy who visits twice weekly too.
Trips out on the minibus where Pip remembered the Chinook helicopter flying over us at Rockley park just last week. We celebrated the ‘King of Rock’ by raising our glasses to Elvis on his what would be birthday too! Residents and staff were also rocking around a 6ft cut out of Elvis, we had such a great month, and we are now thinking about what we can get up to in February.
