What Did We Get Up To in February

At The Aldbury, we love to keep everyone up to date with our latest happenings.

In February, we had a blast celebrating Pancake Day with our residents and staff. While flipping pancakes, some inevitably ended up on the floor, but we all had a good laugh about it. Cynthia joined in the fun, wearing a dress-up hat and sunglasses for our teddy bear picnic with children from Gateway Church, and we captured some great photos of her.

National Pizza Day was another highlight of the month. We made some delicious pizzas that we all enjoyed. On Valentine’s Day, we created a warm and cosy atmosphere in the lounges with red and pink decorations, spreading love and joy among everyone.

We also celebrated two birthdays this month – Ruth’s with a Scottish sing-along and cake, and Janet’s with a pampering spa day that included hand and foot massages and prosecco. Along with daily beach and garden strolls, we also had fun with chair exercises, singing, and dancing.

As World Book Day approached, we got creative with costume-making, and Dave the companion puppy and Roxy the terrier, who visited with our home hairdresser Candy, kept us company with lots of fur cuddles.

We are now eagerly looking forward to March and the exciting things it will bring.
