Starting her career at Colten Care with a part-time job washing dishes, Lorna went on to become our first catering apprentice at The Bournemouth & Poole College. She is now Head Chef at our Bourne View care home.
After qualifying with her NVQ Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality, Lorna became Second Chef at Belmore Lodge in Lymington, before being promoted to the position of Head Chef at Amberwood House. She was then selected to be part of the inaugural team at Bourne View as it opened in 2019.
Lorna is now responsible for a ten-strong kitchen team, and her career is going from strength to strength. She was chosen to attend a prestigious cookery course at the esteemed Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest, as well as an additional patisserie and cake decorating course, enhancing her culinary skills even further and earning herself the accolade of being one of the finest bakers across our business.
