We strongly believe that a fulfilling job should have a clear purpose, which is why pursuing a career in care is one of the most rewarding paths you can take. At Colten Care, we recognise that everyone has the potential to make a real difference in both their career and the lives of our residents.
Experience is not necessary for a role as a Health Care Assistant; instead, we seek individuals who will share our passion and dedication towards our residents. Our priority is to ensure that they can live safely, happily, and comfortably.
You must be willing to be hands-on with residents, providing assistance whenever necessary. Additionally, possessing organisational skills, a strong work ethic, resilience, keen observation skills, attention to detail, and a sense of fun are all essential qualities for the role.
Being friendly, kind, honest, reassuring, and an effective communicator are equally important elements for success in this role.
You’ll have the opportunity to advance your career at Colten Care. You can progress to management roles, become a Senior Health Care Assistant, and even train to become a Nurse through a clear career structure.
To begin your journey, work towards achieving a QCF Level 2 diploma or QCF Level 3 certification. Once completed, you could join our Trainee Nurse Associate Programme, which will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a Nurse.
As a Nurse, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and provide high-quality care to our residents with confidence and empathy. The programme covers comprehensive care planning, allowing you to become an expert in caring for those with longer-term conditions, ensuring our residents receive the best care possible.
