Tulip Festival

Residents and staff had a fabulous day at Arundel Castle Tulip Festival. This is an annual event, but it was our first time visiting.

The weather was perfect! Lovely and sunny and even quite warm. Emily, our gardener at Wellington Grange, joined us, which was brilliant as she gave us lots of insight and knowledge about the garden and the tulips and plants growing there.

We took our time going around all the elements of the garden, taking in the water features, different gardens and of course the tulips.

We enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch specially prepared by the kitchen at Wellington Grange, in the sunshine, around a water feature..

Once we had been around the garden and seen everything we wanted, we took a slow walk back to the minibus.

Before we headed back to Wellington Grange, we took a detour to see the beautiful bluebells at Kingley Vale, just around the corner from home.

They looked stunning in the sunlight and in full bloom. It was a perfect end to a wonderful day, full of flowers, fun and friends.
