The Grand National Horse Race Fun Sweep Stake
We held a fun sweep stake for the Grand National here at Abbey View .
Both our lounges were filled with residents eager to watch the big race, with others watching from their rooms, grouped together with fellow resident friends and or visiting family and friends!
Almost everyone joined in the sweep stake, but there could only be one winner – it was Cory!
As you can see in the photo, Cory was delighted, especially when we presented him with his treat – a yummy desert from our kitchen! Cory opened our home on 11th December 1996, when he was the Mayor of Sherborne!
Needless to say, Cory was still smiling at supper time.
