Ideal Location
Ideally located in the beautiful Dorset town of Sherborne, brimming with history and heritage, we designed and built our home to fit with the town’s charming, honey-coloured aesthetic.
Impressive Exterior
Abbey View has been designed to compliment the local architecture, resembling a row of cottages and blending discreetly into the ancient setting of the old market town.
Tranquil Gardens
Our garden is enjoyed by all, with many residents loving to spend time appreciating the raised aspect which provides views across the gardens to the home. An elevated gazebo provides a popular retreat from rainy days.
Welcoming Reception
The hub of our community, always busy with conversation, laughter and the comings and goings of a vibrant home. Warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating and friendly staff ready to assist residents and visitors.
Manager’s Office
When our Home Manager is not out on the floor talking to residents and supporting the staff team, they can be found in their office doing what it takes to run a happy, safe and secure home.
Nurses Station
We provide the reassurance of Registered Nursing on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each floor of our home has a Nurses Station for convenience.
Professional Kitchen
We have a state-of-the-art professional kitchen at Abbey View, where our Chef and the catering team work together to serve wholesome, well-balanced meals to delight our residents.
Elegant Dining Room
Savour delicious meals in the Digby Dining Room, a spacious setting that can comfortably seat all residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Make lasting memories over a meal surrounded by sophisticated style.
Cosy Lounge
We have two lounges for residents to unwind in a cosy, inviting atmosphere and sit with loved ones, delve into a good book, or simply relax in peace. Experience the perfect balance of stimulation and solitude in a warm and welcoming space.
Inviting Café
The Wingfield Cafe offers a warm and inviting space for residents to unwind, or to meet with families, friends and other visitors and catch up over a cup of coffee and slice of cake.
Relaxing Salon
One of our most popular facilities is the Teddy Roe Salon, which residents can use as they wish to make themselves feel special. Appointments can be booked at Reception for an additional charge.
Adapted Minibus
We have access to a modern, well-equipped minibus with a professional driver. They liaise with residents to understand their preferences and provide access through half-day or full-day trips.

Spacious, light, warm and comforting, your room can be made home by bringing cherished personal items and furniture with you. Every room has ensuite bathroom facilities, and there are a range of options with regards to view and outside access.

An elevated gazebo provides a popular retreat from rainy days, where people prefer to spend time with the outdoors and all of its many benefits. Two street side terraces provide plenty of interest and enable residents to remain part of the community as they watch the passers by.
We recognise many of our residents had such gardens themselves, and gardening may have been a special pastime for them. We offer residents of Abbey View the opportunity to continue that pastime in whatever way they feel appropriate.
