Lainston House hotel looked after us very well today.

We were warmly greeted at the door and led to the drawing room where they lit a fire and provided us with homemade shortbread and beautifully presented hot drinks.

We had a look round the seventeenth century Manor House and took in the views of the gardens.

A wonderful morning only a short drive away from home and a pleasure to share such good company.

John recalled the day when he worked on the estate during a shoot and earned himself two rabbits to take home.

Josephine said “What a beautiful place. This is somewhere I’d really like to visit again”.
