Executive Team

Our team of around 2,000 staff is led by the Executive Chairman, CEO and 4 department directors. Each department director is responsible to the CEO for the successful, compliant and safe delivery of a particular area of the business. Together we are all responsible for putting our residents needs at the very heart of everything we do. We have one main goal: our residents and the care they receive.

Ian has over 30 years’ experience in the care industry with Colten Care, as it grew from two homes to twenty-one. Ian chairs the Colten Care Executive.

Mark’s key responsibility as CEO is to lead the Executive in the successful delivery of the Board’s strategy. With regard to the regulator, the CQC, he is our Responsible Individual. His finance responsibilities include ensuring the business is well resourced to deliver high standards of care, as well as to meet future growth targets.

Rick is Co-Chairman of Colten Care, ensuring the
enduring principles of his father, joint founder
Adrian Otten, continue with the next generation.
Rick is involved across many award-winning teams in
Colten Care. They include our gardening, in-house
interior design and property management teams.

George leads the expert internal and
external construction teams responsible for
the development of new homes, as well as
the refurbishment and facilities teams.

Elaine is responsible for ensuring company compliance with
the regulator, the CQC. Her team of operations, quality
and clinical managers, alongside the hotel services and
companionship teams, make living in a Colten Care home a
fulfilling experience for residents.

Andrew’s human resources department includes
recruitment, learning and development, and HR business
partners. Together, his team ensure we have a well-chosen,
appropriately qualified and motivated staff team.
